Problem  Statement

We are living in the 21 century. About 20 years ago it was a digital revolution and a lot of pictograms were included in a virtual highway. The purpose of this paper is like a speech about the meaning and the importance of pictograms in our technological and informational daily life. A digital pictogram is a “piece of intelligence”, a piece of information that means something when somebody see it. The digital highway is already here and we have to drive with great speed on it. This paper talks about the world of pictograms extended in a dimension never know before.

Purpose of study

In this paper we were trying to be a part of this digital world. This piece of information is represented by many examples, as graphic representations. The meaning of these representations have to be as clear as possible, because everyone want to communicate to other people by using “info-highway”.

Methods

A method of comparison between pictograms on different digital screen was applied to see the differences as regards reception and translation of these graphic representations. We have noticed that a few pictograms may have another design, much more interesting and easily understood by people.

Findings and results

This study could be considered as a challenge for us due to a few questions: Are all these graphic representations good and significant for the people? or Is it necessary to realize an upgrade for some digital pictograms? And many, many other questions for whom we have tried to answer. The people will see the result.

Conclusions

Is this Digital World different from the traditional world? We believe in an unity into a diversity. Also, we believe in a future digital world by using graphic representation and in digital pictograms on screen.
