Abstract

This project has brought traditional arts to the agenda that is expected to play an important role in cultural transmission. In consumerist society it is aimed to make people more conscious about art by giving the controls of the disciplines of art history to modern people. The importance of this project relies within the fact that it points out the usage of interactive format of cultural transmission being innovative and user friendly. ‘Magic Wall’ stands for specially designed room and is intended to be settled in the busiest places of different cities. ‘Magic Walls’ could be settled in those intensively active places that are used by the community therefore introducing the cultural method other than for people it is known.People passing-by would completely surround the walls made of touch screens and could use them by finger gestures creating art, thus, causing others correspondingly to be involved in the transmission, reception and remembrance of the traditional art. Our aim is to present art for the user in the form of a gift both of physical and / or digital form on behalf of retentivity and continuity. For instance, the art doer’s creation of Ebru Art or T-Shirt with Hat Art could be printed out directly. In this context, applying technology for the relationship between art and society is going to make an important contribution in the field of art.
