DENDROLOGY EDUCATION PERFORMED IN OUTSIDE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to provide to acquire positive attitudes and values against nature and environment, 9th grade -high school students taking biology course, with outside of school planned training programs to tree and nature. A total of 50 students from students studying at the high school in Etimesgut district representing Ankara's lower socio-economic level. The reason for choosing the Sincan district of Ankara's because it is expressed as a sample in the research. Education is conducted  with the participants in Utopia Art Science and Game Center and in the Forest Karagöl in Çubuk district in which Yazıbeyli region in  Kazan district of Ankara identified as project practice areas. ensuring recognition trees under the guidance of experts to discuss these observations and. With the activities of dendrology  being take place in practice areas, it is contributed that participants make observation and recognize trees under the guidance of experts, by discussing their observations and also students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor positively to the development of social and communication skills. In the research, single group will be used  pre-test and post-test experimental design. In the research, it is evaluated effectiveness of educational process to be carried tree- knowledge test, tree and forest attitude scale and opinions of the students.
