An Enhancement of Personality, Manner and Grooming Education; a Case Study of an Airline Business Student

Abstract


The purposes of this research are to study the education of airline business lecturers who considered a role model to students and also to generate useful suggestions on how airline business lecturers can enhance their own knowledge and behavior in order to inspire airline business students' attitude towards manners, grooming and personality improvement. As airline business lecturers viewed as a brand ambassador of an educational institution, the branding of an educational institution is in the hands of lecturers in raising students' education. The lecturers' behavior and teaching class includes manner, grooming and personality improvement which are very influential in shaping the students' habit, behavior, attitude, manner, personality and grooming. To achieve these purposes, a total of 15 lecturers and 150 students of the international college, Airline Business Program, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Nakhon Pathom Educational Center, Thailand, were interviewed via questionnaire. From the survey, it was found that manners, grooming and personality improvement educations plays the vital role in developing an individual habit, behavior, personality and relationships among others. Moreover, airline business lecturers and students should pay more attention to the importance of manners, grooming and personality improvement education because the education can lead to the self-awareness of students. At the same time, as many of airline business students wish to become a flight attendant of international airlines, it is strongly recommended that the airline business students are required to refine their manners, grooming and personality improvement inside out as suggested in classroom teaching.
