A quantitative research design was used for this study. In this contexwho t, the “pretest-posttest control group design” that was applied as an experimental study was used.  Fourteen students who are at the 5th grade level participated in the study, 7 in the experimental group, and 7 in the control group. While the experiment group worked on a weblog, the control group worked on a face-to-face environment. A writing tendency scale and a critical thinking scale was applied as pretest and posttest. Results indicated a statistically significant difference between the writing tendency of gifted students in the experimental and control groups in favor of the experiment group. In addition, results indicated a statistically significant difference between the critical thinking skill of gifted students in the experimental and control groups in favor of the experiment group.
